Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this workshop, you will be equipped with strategies fostering online safety, privacy, and security in support of student learning in a technology-enhanced environment. You will be able to
- analyze issues related to a variety of cyber safety and security topics as they relate to safe schools
- explain the importance of and describe strategies for protecting private identity information online
- identify basic components of good cyber security, including protecting against viruses and securing passwords
- apply online safety and security concepts and skills by teaching a lesson, planning curriculum integration, or communicating to other members of the school community
- collaborate and communicate with other educators in an inquiry-based online learning community, exploring the use of digital tools to foster the development of 21st century skills.
