We look forward to an ongoing collaboration between the Millennium Villages Project, the Millennium Cities Initiative and CyberSmart! Our shared commitment is to strengthen the linkages between technology and education by creating a model for digital learning that is sustainable and scalable, with the possibility of rapid and effective uptake throughout Africa.

Jeffrey D. Sachs, Director of the Earth Institute, Columbia University

  • CyberSmart! and The Earth Institute at Columbia University have partnered to bring 21st century learning to the Millennium Village of Potou and the Millennium City of Louga. The purpose of the partnership is to create and replicate a model for digital learning that is both scalable and sustainable, providing solutions to the challenge of preparing students to benefit economically, socially, and politically from living in a connected world.

The Millennium Villages Project and its urban counterpart the Millennium Cities Initiative are joint initiatives of the Earth Institute at Columbia University, Millennium Promise and the United Nations Development Programme.
